About

65 years of tradition and history in Sapporo

A long-established restaurant loved by celebrities from all walks of life

In 1957, Horyu opened its first restaurant at Minami 3-jo Nishi 5-chome, in the then center of the Susukino district.
The restaurant later moved to Minami 6-jo Nishi 3-chome along Susukino’s main street to expand, and settled in its current location following the land readjustment for the 1972 Sapporo Winter Olympic Games.
The restaurant has been visited by Nobuhito, Prince Takamatsu, and celebrities from all walks of life, and many photos of famous people who visited the shop are displayed.

Muslim-friendly ingredients

Effort to make dining more enjoyable for a wider range of customers

  • Halal Kireuma Miso Ramen
This is a pork- and alcohol-free ramen intended for Muslims.
The dish was created by making soup from shiitake mushrooms and kelp, and studying the best combination of miso. It has a rich flavor even without using the traditional “essential” ramen soup ingredients.
  • Little spicy dumplings
No pork or alcohol is used.
The use of fish instead of meat makes it safe for Muslims to eat.
The soup is hearty with plenty of fish and vegetables, and goes well with the noodles.
  • Genghis Khan miso ramen
The combination of Jingisukan and miso ramen originated in Horyu.
The lamb is halal-certified. This dish is very popular for a true taste of Hokkaido.
Please try this hearty and juicy dish.
